  • Winter In Michigan

Yesterday, we had snow on the ground. Today, the rain has washed away much of the snow. Tonight snow and back to the teen degrees.

I am ready for spring.  Well, had the dreaded Influenza and survived. I guess as my mom says I am now a statistic.

The girls are great and loving life.  They seem to be staying healthy although, we had the flu run through the house last weekend.

The corps marches on without much progress. My God is always in control and Al and I stay faithful to what He wants us to do. No matter if it is the unpopular choice.

  • So, one more interesting tid bit. Bailey has discoverd the game of Golf. Mom and dad went golfing the week of July 4th and she has now decided that this would be fun. Her daddy bought her some clubs and they have been going to the driving range. Look out world, maybe a Bailey (Tiger) Woods.

Megan had nursemaid elbow a week ago tuesday. So, I asked the doctors to show me the manuever. Now I can do this and charge my insurance company $300. Ha Ha.

    Ok, back to work.

  • Hang On! God is Moving!!

Ok, so posting is not my strong suit. The girls have been home with me for the last week. We have not had day care and I have really enjoyed being here. We are in swimming lessons again. That means, Mommy gets in the 82 degrees water with Megan. Very COLD!!! Bailey has moved up to level four and I believe is fast approaching swim club level. Al said today that when he drops her off, she runs into the building. She is sooo excited. I am guessing we are going to look into enrolling her into swim club in the fall. Megan is into everything and I am so amazed at her vocabulary. She is repeating words now and her smile - well it lights up a room. She is really going to give her sister and run for her money.

So what is God doing in Alma?? We have been having Teen VBS. Yes, a new concept. Thanks to a few members of the corps council. But here's the exciting part. We have been blessed with new blood and new interests. There are kids who want to come and come to church. I am so excited that we have an opportunity to be a part of their lives. So, who's got some good ideas to help hook these teens in. What types of activities can we have to keep them coming??

In my Spiritual life, God has been revealing how important total trust is in Him. And then, I really need to use my gift of discernment and stand firm when I know something is not right.

What is God teaching you right now??

Well, long enough post for now! Last night of Teen VBS. We are going to the Lugnuts game. Big thanks to Barb Higgins for her ministry.
